Flowering from late June – late August and growing to an eventual height of 100cm, these exotic looking beauties are best planted into a lightly shaded or sunny area in a spot where they can be left in situ and allowed to spread naturally to give a larger display year on year.
Although not fully hardy in colder areas, it is worth planting the bulbs in a sheltered and relatively warm spot. In cooler areas, covering the crown of the plant with a thick layer of straw in very cold conditions will protect the plants.
