Geranium Cantabrigiense ‘Karmina’ is a hybrid geranium that was developed by Dr. Helen Kiefer of Cambridge University Botanic Garden in 1974. The Latin name for all things associated with Cambridge is Cantabrigia, hence its name.
Geranium ‘Karmina’ can be in flower early in the season until late summer and beyond. It has masses of 5-petalled bubble-gum pink/mauve flowers which will form a carpet of colour in borders and beds, intermingling with other perennials.
The leaves have an aromatic scent and the deeply-cut, 7-lobed palmate leaves are a glossy light green.

Geraniums will be happy in most soils and are one of the easiest perennials to grow. All they need to thrive is a site that is not waterlogged.
They will benefit from cutting back after flowering to encourage another flush of flowers later in the season. Either go over them with garden shears or secateurs. It may seem harsh but within a couple of weeks new growth will appear.

Each plant variety comes in a 9cm pot that is healthy, well rooted, growing well and is ready to be planted into your garden straight away. Planting now will ensure that the plants have a good long growing season and will be settled in and ready to burst into growth again next spring, even bigger and better.

We normally dispatch your 9cm Perennials within three working days of ordering. Delivery is normally made within 4-6 working days of ordering. The delivery method (usually Royal Mail or Parcelforce) will be displayed in the shopping basket.

If ordered with plants with a specific dispatch week we may dispatch this item with your plant order during your first requested dispatch week. If you would prefer your 9cm Perennial to be dispatched separately (within three working days of ordering) please tick the “please dispatch this item separately” box on the shopping basket page. (an extra charge of £1.50 per item applies)
