With its distinctive bright red stems and deep green leaves, Rhubarb Chard, also known as Ruby Chard, is highly decorative as well as being full of nutritional value. It can be grown in flower beds as well as in the vegetable patch. Although a relative of the beetroot family whilst both the leaves and stems can be eaten either lightly steamed or sautéed. The small root ball is not edible.

Seed only orders are dispatched via Royal Mail 2nd Class post.

If your order contains a mixture of seed and other items we will normally dispatch both items together if they are due within a couple of weeks of ordering, if not  we will dispatch the seeds separately via Royal Mail 2nd Class post within 2-3 working days and the remaining items will be dispatched according to their individual delivery times.

 

Sow outdoors in succession from April to June in rows approx. 30-40cms apart at a depth of 2cms. Harvest regularly for an extended crop.
