You will receive a rose that is a Garden Ready 9cm Pot. If weather conditions are favourable this can be planted straight into a larger patio pot or into the garden border digging in plenty of organic matter. If the ground is cold, wet or frosted it may be best to pot on your rose and grow it on for a few weeks before planting out. It can be kept in a cool unheated greenhouse or cold frame.

Remove plant from delivery container and re-pot into a larger pot. Use a good quality multi-purpose compost or a specialist rose compost and plant into the new pot to the same height of the existing top soil layer. Water in well.

Roses will flower much more readily when given a feed, especially when grown in pots. This will also keep them healthy and disease resistant.

Rose Courtyard are easy to look after, requiring minimal maintenance, and are very successful when grown in suitable containers as their slender roots search out nutrients and moisture but remember that growing in a container and watering can deplete goodness so feed at intervals throughout the flowering season with a specialist rose feed such as Neudorff Organic Rose Feed or the more general Vitax Q4 Fertiliser.

Stop feeding from late August onwards as any soft growth may be damaged by cold winter weather conditions.
