These delightful potatoes not only appeal to people for their novelty look, but, they also really are a great potato. These are a good source for new potatoes in the maincrop season where it may be difficult otherwise to have these, they are also great for chipping and boiling with the skin being extremely tasty too – one of the many reasons these have won a RHS award of garden merit! The shape of these are really what makes them such a novelty as you never quite know what you’re going to pull up, however these aren’t just population for their shape - their taste and texture are one of the best. With a mix of light brown and pink skin with a pale yellow flesh.
Maincrop seed potatoes take the longest to mature of between 125 – 140 days, however, they are known for their higher yielding than the first and second earlies, not only that they are great for storing and using over the winter months.
Our 2kg packs contain between 20 to 25 tubers graded 35 to 60 mm.
