What are plug plants?
Plug Plants, also called modular plants or plant plugs are seedlings or cuttings grown in a cellular seed tray. The sides of the cell are tapered to allow easy extraction. Once the roots have filled the cell, the plug plant can be extracted from it’s tray to give a robust self contained young plant ready for potting.
This method of raising plants causes much less root disturbance. Once potted, growth is rapid and healthy.
