With a bushy growth habit this small runner bean is ideal grown in tubs and containers on patios or in open ground where space is limited. Hestia is proving to be a popular choice with gardeners with its pretty red and white flowers appearing first followed by a good crop of slim, stringless 18/20cm tasty runner beans.
**Brookside Nursery Top Tip Although this variety is compact, it can grow several stems and that is quite normal, so the plants will benefit from 30cms high canes/sticks placed around the pots for them to scramble up.

Of all the different types of pulses, Runner Beans are probably the most popular variety for home growing. There is nothing quite like the fresh taste of your just picked beans, from your very own garden, with your dinner!
