Swedes are hardy winter root vegetables, are easy to grow and our selection of Swede Ruby has all the best attributes of a swede and has good resistance to powdery mildew.
With an extra sweet taste, ruby red skin colour and globe shaped roots with a creamy-yellow flesh, this swede cooks really well too and can be boiled or roasted or added to soups and stews.
In Scotland, swedes are known as Neeps and are a traditional accompaniment to Haggis on Burns Night.
