Size guide -Pack of 3 Garden Ready 6cm Peat Pots

You will receive a pack of 3 x 6cm garden ready plants that are in Jiffy Biodegradable pots where no extra potting on is needed. You just plant these straight into your hanging baskets or pots and watch them flourish. These are at stronger stage than plug plants. Compost volume is around 6cm deep x 6cm square (at widest part). The foliage height will vary upon variety. *PLEASE NOTE* Image is for illustration purposes only.

Evergreen herbs are the backbone of any herb garden.  The plants are tough, with scented leaves, giving intense flavours in cookery. Their shrubby woody growth, can withstand the coldest winter weather, although they do not like to be waterlogged.

These herbs are not fussy where they are put around the garden and will survive in almost any given spot.   I have Sage, Rosemary and Thyme thriving in a north facing situation where they only get a bit of sun.

  • Although your plug plants will benefit from potting on in the early stages to encourage strong root growth, they can be put into a cold frame or cool greenhouse straightaway and don’t need too much ‘mollycoddling’.
  • Ensure that the plants are watered and fed during the first seasons growth.  In subsequent years all you will need to do is keep the plants in shape by pruning and then they will reward you with years’ worth of flavoursome leaves.
