Native to Australia and Tasmania, these impressive tree ferns are one of the oldest plants in the world and add a touch of drama to any garden. Try them in a semi-shaded spot, among ferns and woodland plants, as part of an exotic scheme, or beside water. In winter protect the crown by wrapping it up with straw or dead fronds. It has been given an Award of Garden Merit (AGM), which is for plants of outstanding excellence.
