Where & When to Grow
Beetroot Plants need a sunny spot that has been well prepared and fertilizer has been raked in one week before planting. Apply lime if the soil is known to be acid.
How to Grow
It is better to plant Beetroot in succession over the summer months in short rows , 4" between plants rather than one long row as the beetroot become increasingly tough if left to stand too long, rather pick when smaller. Keep the plants weed free and water regularly to stop the plants drying out as this will make them woody.
Harvesting
After picking leaves are removed by twisting rather than cutting which will cause the stems to bleed
