As the name suggests this colourful mixture of red, cerise and pink shades will give a splash of colour in your garden border.
The plants themselves are large herbaceous perennials, all with delicate looking feathery foliage and the trademark open flowerheads. Flowers can appear from late May, depending on the variety, and last until October with the overall height reaching to around 45-60cm with a spread of 25cm over the season. Achillea last well in the vase too, so are a must for the cut flower garden.
Achilleas are fast growing and prefer an open site in full sun to produce a long season of colour.

We use a number of couriers to ship our orders to you. When your Parcel leaves us, you will receive an email confirmation of the courier your order is going with and associated tracking numbers for the order. If your parcel is to be delivered by Amazon Shipping, Evri, Yodel, Royal Mail or Parcel Force you will receive further emails from them about your delivery.

All our plug plants are shipped in specially designed packaging to keep the root system in place and the foliage protected in transit.

The most economical way to purchase your plants. Securely rooted, strong plants in mini-plugs of compost. Will need to be transplanted and grown on before planting out ready to flower. Tender varieties will need protecting from frost. Compost volume around 2.6cm deep x 1.8cm square. Foliage height 1.5cm-5cm (depending on variety). Full growing instructions are provided.

Achillea have hundreds of individual flowers on their flat open flowerheads and are magnets for beneficial pollinating insects. On an established plant you can literally hear the plants buzzing with insect activity in the summer months.
Using a good quality multi-purpose compost, pot up your plugs into 10cm pots or use theâ¯6 Pack Cell Plant Trays.â¯Once your plug plants have been potted on and labelled, water them in well and grow on for 5-6 weeks.
Add a slow release plant food likeâ¯Miracle-Gro Slow Release All Purpose Plant Foodâ¯â¯to your compost which will give extra nutrients for strong and healthy plant growth.â¯
Keep plants frost free until mid/late May and then harden off before being placed in their final positions when the risk of frost has passed in your area.
Once ready to plant, space approx. 45cm-60cm apart to give each plant room to grow fully without being overcrowded. Achillea prefer an open sunny site in the garden border in a fertile soil that is moisture retentive without being waterlogged.
