Flowering from July to August and sometimes well into autumn, Agapanthus are often planted in large patio pots as statement displays. These large perennials have pendant heads of bell-shaped white flowers with attractive yellow stamens that bloom above strong stems.
The elegant blooms make excellent cut flowers and last well in the vase, but left on the plants, the attractive seed heads prolong the season of interest.

Agapanthus prefer a rich, fertile and moist but well-drained soil in full sun.
Brookside Nursery Top Tip – Water well in the summer months and sparingly in winter and feed with a balanced liquid fertiliser once growth starts until it is in flower.
Divide large clumps in spring, but be aware that it can take them a year or so to settle before flowering again.
