‘Indian Summer’ has dark bronze foliage and rich, vibrant ‘tigers eye’ flowers in shades of burnt orange and yellow with the classic veining in the petals. Its long lived flowering season extends from late May right through until late autumn. Alstroemeria, also known as the Peruvian Lily, are one of the best high-performance summer perennial plants and a beautiful border and patio plant.
Excellent as cut flowers and long lasting in the vase, Alstromeria are ideal plants to grow in the cutting garden.

Advice
Alstromerias originate from the central Americas, and will thrive in a sheltered sunny spot flowering readily in the summer months as they are southern hemisphere plants that thrive on equal amounts of day and night.
Because they have tuberous, fleshy roots that will rot in wet winter soil make sure they are planted in an area that has good drainage. Adding some grit at the time of planting can help with drainage.
