Rubus Fruticosus BLACKBERRY Merton Thornless is a tasty fruit that is easy to grow due to its lack of thorns and compact nature. Suitable for planting in smaller gardens, the result is berries that are medium to large in size with a plentiful crop.

For best yield, plant out 3m/10ft apart in a sunny or half-shaded area that is not overly exposed. Note that this is a hardy plant that is easy to maintain but it may be susceptible to full frost conditions so frost protection is advisable in colder regions. 

These are 2 year old plants, in the first season of planting these will concentrate on establishing, although you might see some fruit in this year,  it will be the following year that you will see plentiful crop.

Size guide - Fruit Poly Pots 

3 Litre Poly Pots, healthy pre-packed range, packed in compost and green poly pots. Ready to go straight in your garden or large containers. These are 2 year old plants, in the first season of planting these will concentrate on establishing, although you might see some fruit in this year,  it will be the following year that you will see plentiful crop. The poly pot on arrival will be 10 -15cm wide and 20 -25cm in height. Fruit Foliage height 30cm-35cm (depending on variety). Full growing instructions are provided.
