The result of recent breeding work to produce a better sweeter flavour, Brussels Sprout Evesham Special produces firm, medium sized buttons with a superb flavour, which hold well on the plants. Delicious with any roast! Sprouts are one of the most useful garden vegetables, providing crops over long winter periods, even in the harshest weather. Harvest from mid November to late January. All our vegetable plug plants are shipped in specially designed packaging to keep the root system in place and the foliage protected in transit.

We use a number of couriers to ship our orders to you. When your Parcel leaves us, you will receive an email confirmation of the courier your order is going with and associated tracking numbers for the order. If your parcel is to be delivered by Amazon Shipping, Evri, Yodel, Royal Mail or Parcel Force you will receive further emails from them about your delivery.
We are the only online plug plants supplier to offer a choice of a specific dispatch week for your order. When placing your order, use the drop down box above to select your required dispatch week. Size guide - Pack of 15 Plug Plants
Securely rooted, strong plants in mini-plugs of compost. Will need to be transplanted and grown for a short while before planting out ready to flower. Tender varieties will need protecting from frost. Compost volume around 3cm deep x 2cm square. Foliage height 1.5cm-5cm (depending on variety). Full growing instructions are provided.
- Grow plug plants on in fresh compost and once they are around 12-15cms they can be hardened off ready to plant into the veg patch. Prepare the ground as in the general care instructions.
- Plant approx. 60cms apart.
- Protect the base of the young plants with a collar.
- As the Brussels Sprouts grow taller, stake them with a cane to keep them upright as they can get top heavy or blow over.
- Water and feed regularly using a high-nitrogen liquid fertiliser.
- Pick off older yellowing leaves nearer the base to allow air to flow around the plants and put them onto the compost heap.
- Harvest the sprouts from late November onwards when they reach the size you like to eat them. The leafy sprout tops can be eaten too.
