Bring a burst of vibrant colour and height to your garden with Delphinium Red Lark, a unique variety known for its bold coral-red blooms. This stunning perennial adds a striking vertical presence to borders, cottage gardens, and mixed beds, with its tall spires of flowers making it a true garden standout. Supplied as a 9cm garden-ready plant, Delphinium Red Lark is a perfect choice for adding long-lasting colour from June to September.

Key Features:

Unique Coral-Red Blooms: Unlike traditional delphiniums, Red Lark features eye-catching coral-red flowers that stand out in any garden setting, offering a refreshing alternative to classic blue varieties.

Tall and Dramatic: Growing to heights of up to 65cm, this variety adds vertical interest and creates a striking focal point in garden borders and mixed beds.

Long Blooming Season: Enjoy a spectacular floral display from June to September, ensuring your garden remains colourful and lively throughout the season.

Pollinator Friendly: The open, tubular flowers attract bees and other pollinators, enhancing the biodiversity of your garden while supporting local wildlife.

Hardy and Low Maintenance: Delphinium Red Lark is a hardy perennial that returns year after year with minimal care, making it a great addition to any garden.

Care Instructions for Delphinium Red Lark:

Ideal Planting Location: Plant in full sun or partial shade with well-drained, fertile soil. Delphiniums thrive in sunny, sheltered spots, protected from strong winds to avoid damage to the tall flower spikes.

Planting Steps: Remove the plant from its 9cm pot and plant at the same depth as in the container. Space plants about 45-60cm apart to allow for healthy growth and airflow.

Watering Tips: Water thoroughly after planting to help establish strong roots. Keep the soil consistently moist, especially during dry periods, but avoid waterlogging.

Feeding Schedule: Apply a balanced fertilizer in spring to encourage vigorous growth and abundant blooms throughout the flowering season.

Support and Pruning: Tall-growing delphiniums may need staking to support the weight of their flower spikes. Use garden supports early in the season to avoid breakage. Deadhead spent flower spikes to encourage more blooms and prolong the flowering period.

Winter Care: In autumn, cut back the dead foliage to ground level. Mulching around the base in late autumn will help protect the roots during winter.
