Planting Location: Choose a sunny spot with well-drained soil. Prima Berry thrives in sandy, gravelly, or poorer soils, making it an excellent choice for low-maintenance gardens. Planting Steps: Dig a hole slightly larger than the root ball, position the plant, and backfill with soil. Water thoroughly to help it establish. Watering Tips: Water regularly during the first few weeks after planting. Once established, Prima Berry requires minimal watering and thrives in dry conditions. Feeding Schedule: Apply a balanced fertiliser in spring to encourage healthy growth and prolific flowering. Pruning and Deadheading: Remove spent flower heads to encourage continued blooming. Leave some seed heads intact for winter interest and to provide food for birds. Winter Care: Fully hardy and low maintenance, Prima Berry requires little winter protection. In colder areas, mulch around the base to provide extra insulation during frosts.
