Striking Glossy Fronds: Cyrtomium fortunei features beautiful, leathery, deep green fronds that provide a bold, architectural presence in any garden setting.

Perfect for Shady Areas: This fern thrives in partial to full shade, making it ideal for shaded borders, woodland gardens, or areas under trees.

Year-Round Interest: As an evergreen variety, Cyrtomium fortunei offers structure and greenery throughout the year, ensuring your garden remains vibrant even in the colder months.

Low Maintenance: Hardy and resilient, this fern is easy to grow and requires minimal attention, making it perfect for novice and experienced gardeners alike.

Ideal for Containers and Borders: With its upright growth habit, this fern fits perfectly into borders, woodland-themed gardens, or containers, adding texture and depth to any outdoor space.

Care Instructions for Fern Cyrtomium fortunei:

Ideal Planting Location: Plant in a partially shaded or fully shaded area with well-drained, humus-rich soil. This fern thrives in woodland-like conditions, preferring moisture but tolerating dry spells once established.

Planting Steps: Remove the plant from its 9cm pot and plant at the same depth as in the container. Space plants around 45-60cm apart to allow for full growth.

Watering Tips: Water thoroughly after planting to help establish strong roots. Keep the soil moist, especially during the first growing season, but avoid waterlogging.

Feeding Schedule: Ferns generally don't need much feeding, but a light application of compost or organic matter in spring can boost growth.

Pruning and Maintenance: Remove any dead or damaged fronds throughout the year to keep the plant tidy and healthy. In late winter or early spring, cut back older fronds to allow for new growth.

Winter Care: Cyrtomium fortunei is fully hardy, requiring no special winter care. However, mulching around the base in autumn can help retain moisture and protect the roots.
