These potatoes have an RHS award of garden merit and we can see why. Originally known as ‘Suttons Foremost’ these are a heritage potato added to the national variety in the 1950’s. These have excellent flavour and resistance to disintegrating while boiling. They are a great ‘new potato’ because of their short oval shape. They have white skin, with a white waxy flesh and if stored correctly will keep for months to enjoy throughout the summer. Foremost are great for salads and baking and have an average resistance to scab.
First early seed potatoes have the shortest maturing time from as little as 60 – 110 days. These are often enjoyed as new potatoes because of their thin skins and most varieties are best eaten as soon as they are harvested.
Our 2kg packs contain between 20 to 25 tubers graded 35 to 60 mm.
Here is an idea for the planting and harvesting times for our seed potato varieties;

If you have ordered plug plants for dispatch in March or April, we will send your seed potatoes during the same week. If you require these earlier please make a seperate order for these items.
