Helianthus (Sunflower) Sunbelievable Brown Eye Girl are wonderful two tone sunflowers with a vigorous branching habit and are excellent in large pots.

The beguiling dark centres surrounded by a bronze ring radiate with the glow of golden yellow petals  giving a blast of summer sunshine to pots or garden border and, given the right site that gets plenty of sun during the day, Sunbelievable Brown Eyed Girl can have over a thousand flowers in one season, and that is one long season, from June to November. Because it is sterile, this variety does not produce seeds, so it can put all its efforts into making flowers.

Sunbelievable Brown Eyed Girl is classed as a Half Hardy Annual which means that if it is kept frost free during the winter months, the flowers can keep on being produced. Truly an almost perfect plant!

Size guide - Pack of 3 Jumbo Plug Plants 

 These Jumbo plug plants would benefit from potting into large pots (13cm upwards) for a few weeks before planting out in the garden. Tender varieties will need protecting from frost.  Compost volume around 5cm deep x 5cm square. Foliage height 5cm-20cm (depending on variety). Full growing instructions are provided.

Perennial plants come in hundreds, if not thousands, of varying shapes, sizes and colours and if you are like me, you will always find room for one more in your garden!  They are reliable, hardy plants that breathe life into beds and borders from late spring to late autumn and beyond. These plants are also very attractive to pollinating bees, butterflies and beneficial insects.

• Our perennials are supplied as either large or jumbo plug plants, depending on the variety, with a good root system and healthy top growth.
•  Your plugs will benefit from being grown on in large pots, approx. 5 - 10Ltr size.
• Give them a good soak in tepid water to ensure the roots get a thorough soak.
• Plant into a good quality multi-purpose compost and water them in.  Pop a label in the pot to remind you what it is.
• Plant out into the final planting positions after a few weeks when the risk of frost has passed in your area. 
• Planting in groups of 3’s or 5’s will give a good clump of colour as the plants mature.
• A good spadeful of organic matter popped into the planting hole will get your plants off to really good start.
• Give them a good drink of water and water regularly during their first year’s growth and feed with a sprinkling of granular slow release fertiliser.

*With a little planning you can have perennial plants in flower for several months of the year - almost all year round in milder areas.
