Polyanthus Crescendo Spring Fever Mixed | Tray of 40 Plug Plants
Polyanthus Crescendo Spring Fever Mixed | Tray of 40 Plug Plants Polyanthus Crescendo Spring Fever Mixed | Tray of 40 Plug Plants

Polyanthus Crescendo are one of the best, most reliable and trusted variety of Polyanthus. Our plug  will produce plants with strong sturdy stems that will grow elegant white, yellow and orange flowers giving you the real feeling of spring time in your garden. This is an impressive variety that will fill your garden with spring colour and will look stunning throughout your garden borders or containers. It is winter hardy, has a floriferous and strong growing habit.

If you have received these plug plants by the end of August, they will need planting in either grower cell trays or small grower pots for around 6 weeks before you put them in their final place. If you receive them from September onward, these need to be overwintered in their pots to allow for root establishment and these can then be planted out around February.

Please Note: Due to the nature of these being sown from seed, we cannot guarantee an equal mix of colour.

Primrose and Polyanthus advice. Primroses and Polyanthus are a firm favourite for Autumn and Winter gardens due to their hardy nature. These plants like a shaded area rather than full sun and some of our collection offer early flowering that will last through the summer if given the right conditions. Here are a few tips in helping them to flower for longer and produce great healthy flowers When you receive your plants make sure you’ve grown them on in suitable pots to help the roots mature before planting them in their final growing position. Primroses and Polyanthus prefer a shaded area but can tolerate sunny spots as long as well watered so as not to let the soil dry out. Try and plant your plants around 15cms apart keeping the base of the stem at soil level. Once planted make sure you use a good feed to encourage the best growth and flowering. We recommend Neudorff Organic Multi Purpose Plant Feed, great for encouraging bigger blooms and longer lasting flowers and also pet and child safe. Careful attention to the pruning of these will help them grow for longer, when the flower starts to fade then take the head off to encourage more flowering.
