Allium Sphaerocephalon Drumsticks| 30 Bulbs Per Pack

These Drumstick Allium bulbs make a perfect show piece in your garden, whether you have a beautiful cottage garden or a more contemporary look - these fit in well in both! These are very unique as the flowers first open as green then start to turn a purple/crimson colour from the top downwards, creating a two-tone flower head.

Ideal for borders, rockeries or containers, with heights of 60cms (24"). They are late spring - early summer blooming and are a wonderful sight as well as being attractive to bees and butterflies alike!

Delivery from September onward.

If ordered with plants we will normally dispatch flower bulbs with your plant order during your first requested dispatch week. If you would prefer your flower bulbs to be dispatched earlier (within five working days of ordering) please make a separate order. PLEASE NOTE - these are dispatched from September onward, if you have plants for delivery before this these will arrive on a later date.

If you are not ordering any plants we will dispatch these from September onward. Delivery is normally made within 4-5 working days from dispatch. You will receive an email when we have dispatched your item/s.

Season Autumn

Plant the bulbs pointy side up in well-drained fertile soil in a sunny site.

The plants are long-lived and if you plant the bulbs deeply to begin with they will flower for many years. The curled strappy leaves appear first before the flower stalk. Do not be tempted to cut away the leaves as they are helping to put the goodness into next year’s flowers.  Once the foliage has turned brown and died back, you can remove it.

NOTE – Ornamental onions are harmful if eaten.
