Temporary Order Packing Shift Leader.

Brookside Plant Nursery, Hints, Tamworth, B78 3DW

Brookside Plant Nursery are looking for an energetic and highly motivated individual to join our seasonal team.  Working in our busy packing department as our Shift Leader, you will be the driving force to make sure that you and team members fulfil all daily orders. You will be confident on computers and have previous experience in a similar role where you have used order management systems to despatch high volumes of orders.

You must demonstrate previous leadership roles, where you have overseen 5+ team members.

This is a fixed term contract of approximately 10 weeks starting 25th March 2024. Your shifts will be weekdays (including bank holidays), Approx. 30-37.5 hours a week. In return we offer you an hourly rate of £12.85 per hour. Unlike a normal warehousing location, we are set in the beautiful village of Hints in Tamworth.

Roles and Responsibilities 

●        Pack customers’ orders quickly and efficiently.

●        You will lead a small team of pickers and packers to make sure all team members hit their individual and business targets to get orders out the door on time and in full. 

●        Using an order management system (OMS), you will scan and print customers’ orders to produce despatch notes and postage labels (Full training given).

●        You will fix any label printing issues from team members on the OMS to allow you to fulfil the daily orders.

●        You will oversee monitoring packing consumables needed to fulfil orders and report when stock is low and needs replenishing so as not to disrupt the daily despatching.

●        You will work with our delivery partners to make sure all orders are collected in full each day.  

●        Maintain a high level of health and safety standards including any procedures we might have in place the Plant Nursery and warehouse locations. 

 

Skills and experience

●        Good attention to detail. 

●        Ability to work in a fast paced, busy environment.

●        Strong leader and team player.

●        Excellent communication skills.

●        Ability to lift heavy objects up to 20kg  

●        Ability to stay on feet for long periods of time with frequent walking and activity.

●        Order picking/ packing experience in a fast-paced high volume order business of at least 1 year.

●        Supervisory experience of at least 1 year – with demonstrated examples displayed in CV

●        Computer and IT Literate

Delivery Processing Team Member - Temporary

Brookside Plant Nursery are looking for an energetic and highly motivated individuals to come and join our seasonal team. Directly assisting the Warehouse and Logistics Supervisor, as a Good-in Processor, your job will be to help process supplier deliveries of plants in a quick and efficient manner. You will also help with the collation of stock ready for our assembly team to process the following day. We are looking for a candidate who ideally has prior experience working in a similar delivery processing role (although not essential). You will be able to provide examples from previous roles of excellent organisational skills, time management and working to tight deadlines.

This is a fixed term Temporary contract of approximately 10 weeks starting ASAP. Your shifts will be Monday - Thursday inclusive (including bank holidays), starting from 8.30am-4.30pm shifts. Approx. 30 hours a week, in return we offer you an hourly rate of £12.20, 15% staff discount plus other benefits. Unlike a normal warehousing location, we are set in the beautiful village of Hints in Tamworth.   • Accurately place plant deliveries in their designated locations.
  • Ensure daily order tasks are done on time and in full for the order assembly team.
  • Maintaining a clean and tidy work area
  • Ensure daily picking goals and accuracy standards are met.
  • Maintain a high level of health and safety standards
  • Be willing and able to adapt to other tasks as and when required in the business.

 

Skills and experience -

  • Excellent communication, literacy and numeracy skills
  • Ability to lift heavy objects up to 20kg
  • Ability to stay on feet for long periods of time with frequent walking and activity
  • Ability to work well as a team but be self-motivated and independent at times
  • Delivery processing and order picking experience would be useful but not essential.
  • Demonstrate occasions you have worked to deadlines and how you managed to achieve these deadlines.

Order Packing Team Member - Temporary 10 week role

Brookside Plant Nursery are looking for energetic and highly motivated individuals to come and join our seasonal team. Working in our busy packing department, your job will be to pack orders ready for collection from our delivery partners, in a quick and efficient manner to targeted packing rates. We are looking for candidates who have prior experience working in a packing environment. You will be able to provide examples from previous roles of excellent organisational skills, time management and working to tight deadlines. This is a fixed term contract of 10 weeks starting 25th March. Your shifts will be Monday to Thursday inclusive (including bank holidays), starting from 9am-5pm (to be confirmed). Approx. 30 hours a week. In return we offer you an hourly rate of £12.20.

Unlike a normal warehousing location, we are set in the beautiful village of Hints in Tamworth.
