Diminutive but so pretty is the best way to describe Anemone Blanda ‘White splendour’. This pure white variety has dainty yellow stamens which attract bees. Grow these on slopes and banks where they will form ground covering mats of colour. Good as edging plants too at the front of beds and borders, flowering from March - April and standing at a dainty 5cm (2"). The white variety look fabulous planted up in a shallow terracotta pot.

Grow in a humus-rich soil that is well-drained or a light sandy soil in part sun/part shade as the tiny bulbs do not like to be waterlogged preferring to be kept drier in the dormant months.
Anemone Blanda self-seed readily so will quickly produce more plants, year on year, so try and leave them undisturbed if possible.
